I am a specialist working with traditional oral storytelling. With over 20 years experience I have worked in a huge variety of settings. The packages outlined in these pages are just suggestions as I am alway happy to adapt my work to fit the specific needs of the client.

When deciding if you would like to work with me it may help to consider that many years ago I worked in the marketing department of a multi-national trading company. When I began exploring my interest in the literature of our oral tradition I went on to work in libraries and museums in a variety of roles, some paid, some voluntary. This wasn’t a complete leap into something new, more a return to my academic origins as my first degree was in Prehistory and Archaeology. I went on to study Heritage Interpretation and worked at some amazing visitor attractions including all of The Royal Parks, Historic Royal Palaces and the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. This work included contributions to their education departments, training tour guides and organising large scale events – some with very special guests and huge amounts of security. So you see, my experience is broad and I am comfortable working in any setting.

As a storyteller I have been involved organising everything from small informal storycircles to large scale weekend events. I was a partner in one of the few truly inclusive storytelling companies – Spiders’ Web Storytellers.
